Here is yet another reason I despise the trickery of the Left.

They have coined the term “Common Sense (fill in the blank)“. Right now they are screaming that “everyone” wants “common sense gun control“. Disagree and you are not part of the “everyone”.  If you are opposed to their agenda, obviously you lack “common sense” and are summarily dismissed as just another screwball who is “bitter and clings to guns and religion“, as noted by Senator Barack Obama in 2008. That all said, what exactly is “common sense”?

Well banning weapons that are SCARY LOOKING is obviously “common sense”. The other “common sense” measure bandied about is a “Voluntary”  Australian-like buyback program. Hillybob said during her FAILED campaign that “we” need to seriously look at an Australian buyback program.  Of course we will all line up to “voluntarily” hand over all of our firearms, Second Amendment be damned.

Once again let’s roll the tape and see just what such a measure would accomplish. BE FOREWARNED, the Commies will never give you these FACTS.

In 1996 and 2003 the Australian government instituted a “National Firearms Buyback Program” where they compensated people to turn in, under force of law, their firearms. The program was MANDATORY because they changed their firearms ownership laws, just like they want to do here. To be clear, this was not a “voluntary” program.  They didn’t say “Come on down, mate and we’ll give you some money for the firearms that you don’t want anymore”.  It was give us your guns, take the money, and be happy we didn’t lock you up.

“MILITARY STYLE” weapons were a class of banned firearms. They also outlawed all long guns, most rimfire rifles, most semiautomatic weapons, pump shotguns, most handguns including revolvers, and a host of other types. The buyback program cost the Australian taxpayer about $800.00 per gun confiscated in 1997. Let’s do the numbers, folks.  With inflation you’re talking almost double that amount in today’s dollars. The Washington Post keeps saying there are 357,000,000 guns in the US. When we update the $800.00 for the cost of inflation we will need to payout $1251.00 per gun to confiscate them. That would be almost HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS to buy them back.

You can read one of my previous post HERE and you’ll see that’s about what we allocate for all of MEDICAID.  So we just need another Medicaid sized debt expenditure.

HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS is peanuts, for those commie who have corned the market on all “common sense“.   All the devoted Pelosi-ites, Schumerites, Bernites, and Hillybobites hated the “crumbs” tax cuts.  Just raise taxes.  All American love to pay more taxes for good “progressive” causes.  Think of the children.  Makes “common sense” to me.

But that’s not what I came here to write about. I will present a few more facts, tomorrow, about the “Australian Buyback” and how it makes such wonderful LIBERAL “common sense”, if there is such a thing.

I keep hearing the emotional kiddies, the retarded media, and the politicians who have the brainpower of kiddies, blathering about banning “weapons of war” as the major “fix” to our legal system which will ultimately prevent school shootings. If we could just eliminate those evil black (is this racist?) rifles, they espouse, we would all be safe once again.

Shepard Smith of Fox News gave his emotional tally of all the 25 “fatal” school shootings “since Columbine” (Not true.  It’s actually 25 INCLUDING Columbine, or 24 since…).  Words have meanings as I’ve said to other people.  Interestingly in all the “news” stories I read, not one “reporter” correctly reported the number.  So much for factual journalism.

I did some quick research on the weapons used in these “25 mass school shootings” just to see how many were perpetrated using evil black rifles.

Here’s the list, starting with Columbine and ending with Parkland.

Two involved evil black rifles.  Overwhelmingly, PISTOLS were used to commit “mass school shootings”. Many were revolvers which no one seems to consider banning and confiscating. The most popular caliber used in “mass school shootings” is the .22 long rifle cartridge which is about 1″ long and 1/4″ in diameter, pictured here.

The list represents elementary and high school shootings where there was ONE fatality or more.

Not on the list is the Virginia Tech shooting because it was at a university.  But to be clear that was the LARGEST shooting at a school with 32 murdered plus the shooter.  The shooter used a Glock 19 in 9mm and a Walther P22 once more in .22 long rifle.  Both of these are PISTOLS.

I’ll let you ponder the list.  What do you conclude?  Will banning law abiding citizens from owning evil black rifles “make the children safer“?

In future parts of this series on “Weapons Of War“, I’ll further analyze the FACTS on these “25 mass school shootings”.  There are many interesting FACTS.  For example most of the weapons used were stolen (along with murder, isn’t theft of a firearm also ALREADY against the law?).  Several of the shootings were amongst or committed by adults.  Many of the shootings have a domestic dispute or failed relationship basis.  There were WARNING SIGNS in many cases.  No one seems to want to look at these FACTS as it DOES NOT FIT THE NARRATIVE of BAN THE EVIL BLACK RIFLES.

Jesse Jackson Jr. receives over $125,000.00 in tax payer money every year as he is “disabled”. I didn’t realize how hazardous the occupation of disgraced House representative actually is!  I’ll get to his disability in a bit.

Once again, I need some liberal ‘splaning, please. I looked up how much you can receive as the maximum permanent disability payment in Illinois. That number is $1,440.60 per week. That works out to $75,112.88 per year. Hmmm, not quite $125,000.00. Okay maybe Jesse also is receiving his longer term FEDERAL Social Security Disability at the same time. That would be $735 per month or $8,820.00 per year. Both combined would be $83,932.88 every year. Not too bad for sitting on one’s backside.  That still doesn’t total to over $125,000.00.

Somehow Jackyboy is getting much more than your average “high-earner” in disability payments.  Turns out that Junior receives money thanks to YOUR tax-payer generosity. It turns out the Jesse the younger, is making the bulk of the money from you the American Taxpayer because he claims the the “rigors of a Congressman” caused him to become “bipolar” and therefore completely disabled through a work related injury.  Interestingly he became “bipolar”, after 17 years in Congress, when he was accused and CONVICTED of misappropriating $750,000.00 in campaign funds for personal use.

To put all these numbers in perspective, Junior receives more in taxpayer funded bennies than he did “working” as a House representative. The most excellent part of the story is that Junior is “entitled” to the FEDERAL bennies, because the disability is a “work related” injury. Had he been diagnosed as bipolar before working as a congressman his benefits would only be a fraction of what he is “entitled” to receive.

One last tidbit of information.  All the money Jackyboy receives is TAX FREE.  Cha-ching!

I guess we need to take care of the poor and downtrodden from the ghetto who live in $2 million homes.  Leftists rejoice!  Wealth redistribution at its best.
