BEFORE the invasion of Ukraine, Joe Biden and his minions (or handlers?) including Kamala, Psaki, Blinken, Kirby, et al, all snarkily said the THREAT of SANCTIONS is a DETERRENT to Putin commencing his invasion. When asked why they needed to wait until an invasion started before sanctioning Putin, they all said, “You silly people, unless we have the THREAT of SANCTIONS we won’t deter Putin from invading Ukraine“.  How well did that work out for them?  The smart snarky people should have slammed the sanctions as he was massing his troops and weapons on the border BEFORE the invasion. Now that they’ve applied the sanctions as Putin invades Ukraine, the great minds of diplomacy have forced a SINGLE PATH for Putin. His only option is to seize Ukraine, AT ANY COST, 

I continue to believe (my thoughts HERE) that Putin wants Ukraine in order to place a stranglehold on Europe by controlling all the energy into the continent. Why is his hand forced to seize Ukraine AT ANY COST? The coalition that Joe says he pulled together to sanction Putin is already starting to harm Russia. The ruble is rubble. It has dropped about 40% in value. Their trading markets have been equally hammered.  Putin’s oligarch friends and supporters are financially targeted and their assets are being seized.

Will the sanctions be lifted immediately if Putin says, “My police safety action is over and I will be withdrawing my forces from Ukraine“?

No.

The sanctions will stay in place until the diplomats receive some concessions from Putin. Therefore,  he failed to seize Ukraine. He doesn’t have his stranglehold on Europe. His economy is in shambles. He had to give up something militarily. The assets of his oligarch supporters have been seized.  Putin most likely will be taken out with a coup, likely executed, and a possible Russian civil war may occur during the power vacuum. Given that scenario, what do you think his OPTIONS are? I see only the one for Putin. To win AT ANY COST.

I’m just a guy writing down his thoughts. I hope the ‘experienced adults in the room’ as the Biden administration likes to call themselves, will pull a MIRACLE out of their collective asses to save the people of Ukraine by ending this war. I’m not holding my breath.
