Congressman Eric “Lettuce-head” Swalwell, is once again showing how RETARDED he actually is. Paraphrasing an old expression, “Lettuce-head should keep his mouth shut and just let everyone think he is RETARDED, rather than opening it and proving that he is”.  Truth in lending, I did spell his name wrong in my first post.  It’s fixed in this post.

Lettuce-head Swalwell penned a piece in USA Today (newspaper light) stating that “assaults weapons” need to be removed from the hands of law abiding citizens, by force if necessary.  You can read the drivel HERE.

Quoting the Lettuce-head’s piece, “… we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons.”

Why did the Lettuce-head develop this view? At the beginning of this article he describes how one of his constituents died from a gunshot  fired by a FELON. He says this death haunts him because he was the prosecutor who put the perp behind bars. Good for him on that point. Apparently Lettuce-head Swalwell has a guilt complex. The perp apparently killed the constituent, a security guard, in a revenge killing because the guard reported the perp carrying a “sawed off shotgun” to authorities. Let’s review. Possessing a sawed off shotgun is both a Federal and state crime. On a Federal level the penalty can be up to 10 years at club fed. At that state level you the maximum penalty is ONLY 3 years. Perhaps Lettuce-head feels guilty because he or his office didn’t pass the original crime off to the Feds to have the perp prosecuted and incarcerated for 10 years. At the state level the prosecutor has the option of seeking a misdemeanor or felony charge. So if Lettuce-head’s office only sought a misdemeanor, the perp may have been let off with a slap on the wrist which allowed him to commit the murder.  Ask Lettuce-head or his office, why was the perp walking around the streets of Frisco after he was caught carrying a sawed off shotgun? Also ask, why was someone charged with a weapons violation allowed to have an “assault weapon”.

Anyone else think that perhaps EXISTING gun laws should be ENFORCED before we start punishing LAW ABIDING CITIZENS?

Lettuce-head Swalwell also states that he no longer believes in the Second Amendment.  He states, “They (the Parkland kids) dismiss the moral equivalence we’ve made for far too long regarding the Second Amendment. I’ve been guilty of it myself, telling constituents and reporters that we can protect the Second Amendment and protect lives.”   Wow!  That’s quite a statement.  Toss that old crusty piece of paper out the window. The UNITED STATE CONSTITUTION has no moral significance, according to Lettuce-head.  I’m sure glad that Lettuce-head is smarter than the Founding Fathers.  Maybe we should let him rewrite the whole foundation for our Country, since he is such a genius.  What a buffoon.

And as any good UNINFORMED hater of the Constitution, Lettuce-head goes on to state, “Australia got it right“, when it comes to punishing LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.  Of course if you look at the FACTS and are not just reading off the anti-gun talking points card, you can see AUSTRALIA GOT IT WRONG.  You can read my post about that HERE.

Lettuce-head Swalwell wants to BAN and FORCIBLY CONFISCATE MILLIONS OF RIFLES FROM LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.  Genius-boy must have perused the data to determine that HIS FASCIST TACTICS are justified because they will MASSIVELY REDUCE the number of deaths caused by evil black rifles.   What’s the number of deaths according to FACTS and not student hysteria or liberal talking points?  Around 300.  And how many people are killed by knives?  How about 1600 or five times as many.  And doctors “accidentally” kill around 250,000 people EVERY YEAR.  You can read my analysis of homicides by “assault weapons” and other causes of death based on the FACTS HERE.

And once again, the dreaded black “assault weapons” are only used in a very very very small number of homicides.  If Lettuce-head wants to reduce deaths, he should ban cellphones and knives, or demand better oversight in the medical field before trampling on the Second Amendment of the Constitution.  One can only speculate that his actual motivation is most likely just jumping on the Parkland bandwagon with his kazoo to build cred with his Komrades who hate the freedoms of our country.

Of course a chuckle-head, oops, I mean Lettuce-head probably doesn’t think clearly, if lettuce can think at all.
