UPDATE – Today, I read that SIX police officers were shot, in three different cities, the previous night and that TWO of the officers are dead.  Prayers to all of the officers and their families.

Oh, boy!  After the event in Charlottesville NC, the streaming music service “Spotify” has given itself the noble task of deciding what music is “hateful” and banning such music.  They said they are removing “white supremacist” music.

Alright, let me be clear, “white supremacists“, as Steve Bannon said, are LOSERS.

Where this becomes NUTTY is that the OVERLORDS at Spotify believe they are the police agency to cleanse the music world of “hateful” music. I just looked up a couple of groups that have written some, what I would deem as “hateful” songs, and they are STILL streamed by the gods of music.

N.W.A (aka Niggaz Wit Attitudes) had their hit “Fuck The Police” which contained the gentle and loving lyrics,

“A young nigga on the warpath
And when I’m finished, it’s gonna be a bloodbath
Of cops, dying in L.A.
Yo Dre, I got something to say
Fuck Tha Police.”

Lovely and oh so kind and non-hateful.

Oh and this wonderful group, “Body Count” with the poetic lyrics,

“Cop killer, I know your family’s grieving,
(fuck ’em!)
Cop killer, but tonight we get even, ha ha.
I got my brain on hype.
Tonight will be your night.
I got this long-assed knife.
And your neck looks just right.
DIE, DIE, DIE, PIG, DIE!
FUCK THE POLICE!”

Paints such a picture of loving kindness to your fellow man.  Not hateful at all.

And the nuttiness doesn’t stop with the obvious HYPOCRISY.

Spotify put together a playlist they call, “Patriotic Passion”, which they describe as, “a soundtrack to an America worth fighting for,”

Guess what group is on track number 9?

Answer, “N.W.A.”, The all loving group mentioned above.

Obviously, as I’m not a “lefty-communist-progressive-millennial-metrosexual”, I cannot delineate what is hateful and what is not. I’m glad there are OVERLORDS who can do this for me.
