The US Senate is about to vote on a Continuing Resolution budget to keep the government running for yet another “short term”. Our esteemed lawmakers know that they cannot obtain 60 votes in the senate to pass a “full” budget. This is mostly because the Democrats want the leverage of shutting down the United States to bully ALL OF US to get their left-leaning agenda into law.
The above mentioned resolution is expected to FAIL in just a few hours and a government shutdown plan will need to be executed.
What are the Democrats willing to shut down when they shutdown the United States? Here’s one.
Hold hostage 6 years of funding for these kid.
These 8.9 million kids are part of the Children’s Health Insurance Program, CHIP. What do they expect to achieve?
Change the status for these “no longer” kids.
The “no longer” kids, most of them are now adults, are the DACA recipient class of illegal immigrants that President Obama created by an Constitutionally illegal Executive Order. This whole DACA flap has nothing to do with the BUDGET. It’s all about POLITICAL leverage. Again, the Democrats want a change in immigration law, as part of a short term budget resolution, and to get their way they are willing to hold the United States HOSTAGE.
8.9 million children who are UNITED STATES CITIZENS are held hostage for a change in status for 800,000 ILLEGAL immigrants.
And that’s not all who are HELD HOSTAGE. Those in the military will need to continue defending our freedoms WITHOUT PAY. The Border Patrol Agents will be securing our borders from terrorists and drug cartels WITHOUT PAY.
And guess who still gets paid if the government shuts down? ALL MEMBERS OF CONGRESS STILL GET PAID! The bastards that crash the government still get their paychecks. Pretty neat trick.
Again, ALL of this is about the LEFT trying to leverage PAIN ON ALL OF US to get their “progressive” agenda into the law of the land. It has nothing to do with what is good for you and me.
To be clear on my position, we need to find a solution to the DACA fiasco created by President Obama, because right or wrong, our government (one stupid leader) created the problem. The people in the DACA class are here illegally, but they did not create this mess in government. We also need to fix our BROKEN immigration system and then ENFORCE THE LAW OF THE LAND.
